Does worrying about your life keep you from living your life?

You feel like a prisoner trapped under the weight of your worries. You mull over decisions, imagine endless scenarios, and obsess over what other people may think. You anticipate and find solutions to what-if situations that don’t exist. You recognize how it stresses you out, but you don’t know how to stop it. At times, you feel frozen in place, unable to take action.

And when the unexpected happens, the fear of the unknown can immobilize you. You don’t like freezing up or feeling like you aren’t in your body. You want to manage the stress effectively so it doesn’t prevent you from getting things done, saying yes to new adventures, or pursuing promising opportunities. You want to find a way to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of how you experience life.

Are you often …

  • distracted by racing thoughts?

  • stuck on the what-ifs of the future?

  • on edge or nervous, anticipating something bad will happen?

  • avoiding social situations because you feel uneasy?

  • afraid to make a wrong move?

Anxiety looks different in everyone’s life.

It may show up at work, affecting your concentration or productivity.  You might notice it in your relationships, in more frequent arguments, decreased patience, irritability, or withdrawal.  It can impact your well-being by disrupting your sleep, affecting your mood, or changing your appetite.  You also may notice it manifests physically as increased or constant tension in your shoulders, an upset stomach, or a headache.

You don’t want to live every day feeling like this.

You want to manage the stress effectively so it doesn’t prevent you from getting things done, saying yes to new adventures, or pursuing promising opportunities. You want to find a way to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of how you experience life.

Pretending you’re okay hasn’t been working. You’re realizing that if you want to start feeling differently, you need to start doing something differently.

How therapy works

Relieffrom feeling overwhelmed, uneasy, and full of doubtis possible.

Therapy is an intentional “time-out” you give yourself. It’s your personal, safe place to step back from the busyness of life and get curious about what’s happening so you can gain clarity and perspective. You’ll find that just setting aside the time to talk about and give thoughtful attention to what you’re feeling can make a noticeable difference.

When we start, we’ll discuss what you’ve been experiencing and what you’d like to improve or change. You’ll define and set goals for our work together, and every meeting is focused on what you choose to prioritize. Over time, you’ll gain insight into habits that might contribute to or exacerbate the stress and anxiety you’re feeling. You will become aware of and recognize patterns in your thoughts and behaviors that impact how you feel, and we’ll explore what may be at the root of your anxiety.

You’ll be able to identify which strengths you rely on to support yourself and learn skills to help you through challenging moments. We’ll also discuss effective coping strategies you can integrate into your day-to-day life to achieve the changes you want. Therapy will equip you with a deeper understanding of yourself, foster resilience, and help you learn how to navigate and overcome your anxiety effectively.
